Texas Style Chicken Pozole
Hearty, comforting, and packed with Texas heat
Ingredients
• 2–3 cups shredded chicken
• 1 can hominy, drained
• 1 can cream of chicken
• 1 cup baby carrots, sliced
• 2–3 jalapeños, sliced (adjust to heat level)
• 6–8 cups chicken broth
• 1 tsp tomato bouillon (add more to taste)
• 1–1½ tbsp TX ALL SEASONING – SPICY
Instructions
1. Build the base
In a large pot, add chicken broth, tomato bouillon, and TX ALL SEASONING Spicy. Bring to a gentle boil.
2. Add the veggies
Stir in baby carrots and jalapeños. Simmer for 10–15 minutes until carrots soften.
3. Make it hearty
Add shredded chicken and drained hominy. Stir well and let simmer another 10 minutes.
4. Cream it up
Lower heat and stir in the cream of chicken until fully combined.
5. Final simmer
Simmer on low for 5–10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
Serving Tips
• Top with extra sliced jalapeños for heat
• Great with warm tortillas or cornbread
• Even better the next day
